- Starts April 2027
Make time for your painting in Berlin. Burnt Sienna is inviting an artist to join its Charlottenburg studio community from April 2027.
Founded by painter Louise Lenz in 2016, Burnt Sienna is an independent art school and studio community specialising in oil painting. The residency places your own practice within a working environment of painters, tutors, students and exhibiting artists.
We welcome artists with an existing practice who want to develop a body of work, explore new ideas or establish a more consistent studio routine. You will pursue your own project independently, with opportunities for individual guidance, critical discussion and exchange with fellow artists.
We are looking for someone who will use the studio regularly and enjoy contributing to its artistic life. Your project does not need to be fully resolved: curiosity, commitment and openness to feedback are more important than a polished proposal.
The residency is studio-based; accommodation is not provided.
