Purpose of the Adventures in Art Exhibit and Art Studio
The Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Art studio is designed to provide inspiration for children to explore their inner creativity with programs that change monthly. The self-guided Art Adventures program encourages children engage in process based art using their creativity with unique tools and art media. Children are able to explore making in the following areas clay, painting, drawing, weaving, loose parts, and recycled arts. In addition to visual arts this summer would include performance artists.
Residency Expectations
- Develop and lead a drop-in nature inspired art-based, music and or dance workshop for children ages 0-8. The workshop hours should add up to 20 contact hours in length over a one-month period.
- Provide digital documentation of artist’s own artwork
- Complete a post reflection/survey
The residency will consist of 20 contact hours between the artist and the Museum visitors. One Artist will be selected per month for June, July, August. Please provide 3 possible options and times.
