Organized by the non-profit cultural initiative Kunstwerk Carlshütte since 1999, NordArt is one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe. Each year, NordArt presents a new concept, showcasing 200 selected artists from around the world – both internationally renowned and emerging talents. NordArt is a dynamic interplay between individual artworks and the expansive exhibition space.
It thrives on the diverse perspectives of different cultures while also highlighting shared values between East and West, North and South. Additional special projects are realized within the framework of NordArt in collaboration with international curators, cultural institutions, and embassies .
NordArt is located on the grounds of the historic Carlshütte iron foundry and comprises:
• 22,000 m² of indoor exhibition space
• 80,000 m² sculpture park
• 400 m² ACO carriage house
