Painting, collage, photography, illustration and urban art from 100 Berlin artists are brought together in an interactive art book of 250 pages followed by exhibitions and extraordinary art-events all over the world.

During the course of the countless exhibitions held in the Neonchocolate Gallery, we have always held a desire to present Berlin’s wide spectrum of young art and art scene to an audience outside the capital.

Now, with the project “BERLIN WHAT?”, we aim to showcase Berlin-based artists internationally via exhibitions, art-events and, as our first step, an interactive book of the same name. We are publishing the work ourselves and marketing it via the global platform “Kickstarter”. 

The book accompanying the “Berlin What?” project presents the work of an aspiring generation of artists bound together by one thing: the focal point of Berlin. Painting, collage, photography, illustration and urban art from 100 national and international artists are brought together in over 250 pages, in one premium, large-format book.

Using QR-Codes readers will find background information about artists, as well as interviews and (partly unpublished) chapters from the award-winning art-documentary “In The Belly Of A Whale” by Editude Pictures.

The art book “BERLIN WHAT?” and some remarkable artworks of participating artists can be purchased exclusively on “Kickstarter” during the project term.
