My figurative compositions are imbued with romance and sensuality, I start with a realistic figure and incorporate abstract elements into the painting. Sometimes the abstract parts are minimal, and sometimes they are more pronounced, depending on the specific piece I am working on.

When I paint abstracts I work intuitively. My process starts with random strokes and as I do them,
I get inspired about how to proceed next. At first, the shapes seem random, but layer by layer they start to connect and make sense. This is the most challenging and also satisfying step because I get to experience and see how the chaos starts to get form and meaning.
In the end, I look at the painting and the title of the painting comes to my mind.
I use brushes, spatulas, and sponges to create textures and shapes, I love to combine all the tools as each one allows me to create a different shape.
I am inspired by the colors and shapes of things, it can be anything I see or dream of

When I work on a figurative painting, it is usually based on a photo. I draw the figure on a Bristol board and transfer it into the canvas, which I already primed with a first layer, and then start painting the figure. Towards the end, I start to incorporate abstract elements into the painting. This part is the most satisfying step because I get to let my imagination go again. Sometimes the abstract parts are minimal, and sometimes they are more pronounced, depending on the mood I am in and on the specific piece I am working on. I am inspired by the colors and shapes of things, it can be anything I see or dream of. I am also inspired by the woman's body, people's facial gestures, and also by my dream

The process of abstract painting is always a whole new journey for me. Each abstract is a different story, determined by that specific moment that is created. It develops layer by layer with brushes, spatula and sponges, until the story is completed. In this case I was inspired by long blue rivers
