About

Spanish digital artist, technologist, writer and curator, Miguel Ripoll started experimenting with combinatorial algorithms and generative code back in 1999 – his early works, exhibited in major institutions like the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, the Cervantes Institute, and the City of Arts and Sciences, are now part of the permanent collection of the National Design Museum in Barcelona.

As LLMs have become more sophisticated over the past few years, Miguel is currently exploring human-led, complex AI-mediated dialogue as a tool for art production in a series of physical works that question and subvert long-established themes and traditions of Western artistic praxis and the role of narratives and myths play within the wider context of our contemporary anxieties about tech dystopias, societal inequalities, personal struggles, political division, and environmental degradation.
