Mariana Gambande is an Argentinian artist (b. 1986) born in northern Argentina, raised in Buenos Aires and currently residing in Barcelona, Spain.
She received training in drawing and painting in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Vancouver, Canada. For many years she focused on live model painting and artistic anatomy studies. Later on she studied different modern art movements like fauvism and surrealism, finally focusing on Kandinski and the Transcendental Painting Group work. Nowadays, her work oscilates between figurativism and abstraction.
Starting from drawing as a foundation, her practice has evolved to include increasingly different mediums as watercolour, acrylic, inks, collages and embrodery.
