My painting, 'Enchanted Forest,' is part of the 'Poetics of' series. Vancouver is an urban city, but the Discarded borders the wild Pacific West Coast Forest.

The forest is a powerful metaphor for human connection and the need to protect our planet. Just as the trees and the understory depend on one another for sustenance and strength, we must acknowledge our shared bonds in life. Change can occur within this synergy. It aims to inspire a collective reassessment of our relationships, urging us to adopt a more mindful, sustainable, and compassionate way of living by recognizing our interconnectedness in the web of life.

My latest series, 'Networking,' explores the connectivity through the Mycelium and roots of the trees in the forest. It is crucial for our survival. We've lost our connection with ourselves and others, and our disregard for nature and overconsumption have led to an environment that struggles to return to its natural state. I am determined to find a way back.
