**Residency Overview**

Duration: 10 days (or up to 80 hours) of studio access over 4 months.

**Location**

Little Church Studio, Yonkers, NY (askmbuya.com/studio).

‍

**Disciplines**

Open to visual artists, performers, musicians, filmmakers, installation artists, and other creative makers.

**Facilities**

Large, flexible production space (3,000 sq ft) with natural light; basic equipment and furniture available for use.

  
**Final Event**

All residents will present work (in-progress or finished) in a public showing, performance, or screening at the studio.

  
**What We Provide**

• Flexible scheduling to use the studio, to be determined with studio managers.

• Promotional support for your final showing (high design materials, community outreach, hosted opening, social media).

• Basic production resources (lighting, seating, tables, etc.).

• Access to a creative, supportive environment.

  
**What We Don’t Provide**

• No stipend or materials budget.

• No housing or travel support.

• Specialized technical staff or equipment beyond what’s listed above.

  
**Who Should Apply**

• Artists who can work independently and benefit from uninterrupted studio time.

• Creators with a clear idea of how they’d use the space and time.

• People comfortable working in a shared building environment (occasional overlap with other activities).

  
**Application Requirements**

3\. Project Proposal — what you want to work on during the residency (max 500 words).

4\. Work Samples — up to 5 images, videos, or audio files (links preferred).

5\. Preferred Dates and Times — indicate your general availability over the 4-month residency window.

We’re inviting individual artists and small artist collectives who could use dedicated space and time in a professional photo and video production environment to apply for a short-term residency at Little Church Studio in Yonkers, NY (askmbuya.com/studio).

Selected artists will receive 10 days or up to 80 hours of studio access, scheduled flexibly over a four-month period. This is an opportunity to develop new work, experiment with ideas, and take advantage of our large, light-filled production space.

At the close of the residency, artists will share their work in a public showing or event hosted at the studio.

‍

Please note: This is an unfunded residency. We do not provide a stipend, but we offer full access to the space and its production resources, along with promotional support for the final presentation.

We welcome applications from across disciplines—visual, performance, music, installation, film—especially those seeking room to explore and create in a flexible, supportive environment.
