The Sensory Spectrum is a ten-part photographic exploration of how contemporary perception—both sensory and sexual—is shaped by the digital environment.

Five mirrored self-portraits evoke the classical senses—sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch—while five others foreground the genitals, not as biological organs, but as digitally and socially coded sites of identity.

Captured via a laptop webcam, each image reflects a fractured self in an age where information penetrates every sensory threshold. Perception and desire are filtered through the same lens—flattened, magnified, aestheticised.

The Sensory Spectrum is not only about how we see, but how we are seen—how we are constructed as gendered, sexualised, and networked beings.

Marriage Market is a documentary photography project examining gender expectations in public matchmaking spaces in China. Focusing on Chengdu’s People’s Park, the images capture hand-written marriage advertisements—nearly all for women over 25, posted by their parents. Through these visual records, the project reveals how deeply rooted cultural norms shape the pressure on women to marry, while rarely scrutinizing single men.
