_How can I add value to discarded resources?_ Material studies from my final project at Central Saint Martins, focussing on integrating natural aesthetics back into man-made waste. A playful combination of household products and biodegradable resin, are an attempt at provoking the viewer to question the value of our resources and the consequences of our current relationship to nature. The nine materials take inspiration from the visual aspects of wood, marble and stone.

_How can we visualise transience with water?_ This project from my third semester at _kunsthochschule berlin weißensee_ is an attempt at manipulating both the flow of water as well as the surface it interacts with. By working with water as an agent and applying it to a water-soluble material, this project is an inquiry into whether we can design deformation, whilst simultaneously conveying the beauty of decay and an objects ability to disintegrate.

_What if plastic could decompose?_ As a response to our ever-growing waste problem, this project from my first semester at _weißensee kunsthochschule berlin_ speculates a future in which microorganisms are fully able to break down plastic waste. Bordering the line of aesthetics and aversion, it aims to shed a positive light on decomposition and decay as a vital part of an objects life cycle.

_How can discarded cigarette butts be used as a medium to confront us with the impossibility of their recuperation?_ My master project from my final semester at _kunsthochschule berlin weißensee_ aims to investigate the greenwashing behind recycling and how its concept can tend to justify the production of waste in a consumer-based system. Split into two parts, the first consists of a series of material tests aiming to find beauty in the components present in discarded cigarette butts.

Split into two parts, the first consists of a series of material tests aiming to find beauty in the components present in discarded cigarette butts. The second consists of a final product line and campaign named _re:cig_ ironically advertising this form of recycling.

In my eyes, passion is ultimately what moves and inspires people. Through each frame, this series reveals an ongoing story that illuminates my brother's colorful passion for soccer. The story begins with his powerful stance juxtaposing the vibrant field he faces beside him. One arm up, forming a powerful fist; the other arm on standby, hanging against his torso, driven by love and attentiveness. As he edges towards the soccer field, a new frame comes to life. He's immediately drawn into it. He sees himself larger than life, staring at the possibility, discovering what he could be - on that very field. Carrying the passion that runs through his veins, immersed and transported into the game, he becomes a part of the field. The dynamic movement of his wavering arm contributes to the game's energy and excitement as he interacts with the field, driven by his passion.

This work was made using a Canon Camera, an iPhone, a Mini Projector, and minimal editing on Photoshop. Created in 2020.
