This was my first attempt at a new art style. I wanted to dive into pop art but still stay true to my particular aesthetic and I think I did just that with Fire & Ice.

Some of my followers want me to do a Float Karen next. This was just a fun doodle that I made while I was at an art festival, sitting at my booth

This piece is a self portrait and describes the feeling of topemax withdrawal mixed with being misdiagnosed bipolar and anti-psychotics that gave me dissociative episodes for 2 years. I truly felt like I was everything, everywhere, all at once and it was not fun at all

Dimensional Rift 

This painting was full of “mistakes” that I used as inspiration. There was even a moment where I fell on the painting by accident and was able use the mishap and inspiration for the texture of this piece. This was a gift for my beautiful sister and I feel as though it captures her beauty and glam

Self Portrait

Black women are often over sexualized starting at very young ages. The second I developed curves in middle school, my body became scrutinized by others. Even as an adult I have to learn to love and appreciate my body without sexualizing it. I decided to make this painting showcasing a black woman’s curves without sexualizing them. I want viewers to admire the beauty of the woman, without seeing her as a sex object

Desexualize ME

This was my first color portrait. I was taking a painting class and we were tasked with making a color painting. Most of my classmates decided to paint themselves according to their skin colors and in a more formal way. I wanted to test my understanding of color and showcase all the different colorful facets of my personality with this painting. I decided to paint myself in the colors that I believe emanate from my soul

  
Many people comment on how depressed the eyes look in this piece and truthfully, I was battling depression when I painted this. If you look at pictures of me from this time, my eyes typically had the same "tired" look.

The Color of My Soul

In my family, cardinals signify lost loved ones that are materializing in the physical world to let you know that everything is going to be okay. Whenever we see a cardinal, we know our ancestors are looking out for us and that things will work itself out. In 2023 my grandma, Nene passed and while she has left us in this physical plane, I feel her presence spiritually. I know she is looking over me like a cardinal. This painting is a reminder that even when things seem bleak, it will be okay and everything will work out. The name of the cardinal is “Nene”.

I went to a paint and sip and the original piece was supposed to be a nice and beautiful painting of DC. However, I refused to paint DC in a beautiful light while our government continues to send billions of dollars in weaponry oversees. These bombs demolish towns and homes all across the middle east, so I decided to showcase DC as the cities they destroy.

I started this painting randomly at 10pm on a weekday, thinking that I would be painting for 30 minutes. Once I was done and was happy with what I created, I realized it was 2 am. This painting is an 8x11 canvas made with acrylic and oil paint

Eye See Red

This is an oil painting on an 8x8 canvas. I painted this in the middle of an anxiety attack. I had terrible anxiety one night and I started painting to try to ease that anxiety. This is what i ended with when all was said and done. This is what my anxiety feels like. This is the pain I feel

This is a mixed media painting on 16x24 canvas made with Oil paint & crayon wax. I made this when I was feeling angry and needed an outlet for my rage. 

This was painted over a piece that I was feeling frustrated by.

This piece portrays the act of transferring anger into creation, and letting better things blossom from that pent up energy.

This abstract painting helped me figure out my decision on a multitude of decisions I was contemplating. The piece almost shows the decisions and possibilities branching out like the branches and roots of a tree

Branching Out

This piece was inspired by the plight of the Palestinian people and was a way for me to get out the anguish of learning about not only the Palestinian genocide, but about all the other atrocities around the world that are connected to it. The atrocities happening in Palestine, Congo, Haiti, Yemen, Sudan, and to Indigenous people worldwide need to be talked about and need to be at the forefront of our minds. We can’t be free until we are all free. This piece is titled “Where is the Love” because as I look at the world, I see too often that it is lacking.
