In the spring of 2026, the new Maurice Calmeyn Library will open its doors in the former St. Peter's Church. To mark this opening, the library is launching a special _open call_ for young artists (born in 1995 or later): design a unique time capsule that will hang in the library for fifty years – and will not be opened until 2076.

  
Do you dare to create a work of art that looks 50 years into the future?

The winning artist will receive a €4,000 (including VAT) award and a prominent place in the new library and De Panne's art collection. The artwork will be hung high in the church hall and must be designed to withstand the test of time.
