The municipality of Bonheiden is organizing a competition for the design, realization and placement of a work of art on the corten steel pedestal in front of the town hall. The municipality of Bonheiden is launching the "Art on the Street" project to connect residents and visitors with diverse art forms. This initiative literally brings art to the public and stimulates wonder, dialogue, and connection. Encounters with art serve as inspiration, reflection, debate, and deepening, contributing to community building and society as a whole.

For the selected project, the municipality of Bonheiden will make a maximum of €8,000 (incl. VAT) available to the artist. **The artwork will serve for a minimum of six years** (until January 1, 2032 at the latest) and will be clearly visible from the Waversesteenweg and the Jacques Morrensplein, and will attract the attention of visitors to 't Blikveld, the town hall and the library.
