Ethan Alexander Rainbolt uses data and the internet as a material for fine art. He uses technologies from various industries, including medical devices, live show control, and video games to create 2D, 3D, and installation works of art.
His practice currently is focused on the intersection of cartography, artificial intelligence and the post-geographic world.
He also leads technological efforts in the studio of Samuel Stubblefield. His work in this role includes works exhibited in the 2019 Venice Biennale, Art Basel Miami and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
