Snow grooves is a reconstructed image of a tree during a Viennese winter day, revealing its beautiful mosaic patterned bark. This image of the tree is reconstructed with 6 images, taken at different levels of the length of the tree.

The Glitch

The Blackhole is a kaleidoscopic image of sunlight passing through 2 thin transparent layers of a plastic pouch, that carried the cutlery (also plastic). Light shines bright, cutting through its particle to reveal a distinct pattern, but little does it know, that this material is non-degradable. The Blackhole represents the truth of our ignorance, the end we don’t imagine.

It was a packaging box, used to keep the heat out during summer, from affecting the quality of the products inside. This was during my time in India. Though I was satisfied with the delivery, I was confused on how to discard the Thermocol box. Due to low to no waste management in India, if I trash it, it will end up in some animal’s stomach. So instead of trashing I decided to keep it. Also, it had this beautiful curve and a white background (with some packaging plaster that had to be taken out) for me to work on. And the result was this.
