On the Shore

As I paint seascapes, I aim to capture a feeling of unity which leaves out any notion of separation. This is also the reason I paint seascapes. The ship serves as a point of experience or the place from where a person can experience the sea. From this point a person feels themselves one with the environment, being not only at the whims of the seas power, but also able to use it's power to sail.
