Creative Futures is offering 4 early-career artists a £500 commission and a 3-month residency each to develop new art &/or performance works, exploring an imagined future. We’re looking for new works which offer bold alternatives to our present reality, whether this imagined future be alien, dystopian or a hopeful vision of a brighter future.

  
Creative Youth Network will provide Creative Futures commissioned artists with a structure of support, mentoring, artist-to-artist creative exchange & workshops to develop their creative practices, producing skills, professional networks, and artistic community - ending with a public exhibition / performance of the commissioned artist’s works at The Courts in Bristol’s city center.

  
**Creative Youth Network and We The Curious**

  
An addition to this year's programme, Creative Futures will partner you with the team at We The Curious who run an exciting public program of workshops & events that use art to spark curiosity about science. Artists will work collaboratively with one of Bristol’s leading cultural venues to plan and lead a creative workshop that applies your creative practice in a public engagement context. Commissioned artists will receive workshop planning and leadership training and an additional £250 fee from We The Curious, supporting artists to develop and deliver a creative workshop or session as part of the wide-ranging public events program.

**Creative Futures commissioned artists will receive:**

* A £500 commission to create a new work on the theme of imaging new futures
* A 3-month residency at The Station, Bristol – including access to creative, dance & recording studio space
* Training & a £250 fee from We The Curious to develop & lead a creative workshop or session for a public audience, as part of their events program.
* An exhibition/showcase at The Courts, Bristol
* Mentoring personalised to their creative practice
* Access to Creative Futures workshops led by industry-leading artists and producers
* 1-2-1 producing professional development sessions from CYN’s Creative team
* A structure of facilitated, artist-to-artist creative exchange
* Support broadening their network
* Opportunities to form a creative community with fellow Creative Futures artists
