Anxiety, depression, nervous behavior and psychoses. Depicting the life and feelings of mental instability and the beauty blooming in its shadows.

Many people live their lives with mental conditions that causes a person to create and operate mental boundaries. Such boundaries create an unfounded sense of security. They live their lives using a limited set of behaviors, usually without a chance of risk.

Most mental illnesses can occur temporary or become a long term disorder. Many of these disorders are partly genetic, but may also be caused by alcohol, drugs or facing extreme difficulties in life such as homophobia, racism or violent and sexual abuse.

In this project I want to create a conceptual portrait series, staging my subjects to give a sense of a disturbed mind, an anxious soul or an enclosed depressive existence with a tension, like if a glass ball is about to drop to the floor.
