The Lost Game of Stefan Zweig is a sculptural chess system composed of over 30 unique 3D figures. Each blending surveillance aesthetics, bodily fragmentation, and linguistic identity. Each figure wears a pronoun: ICH, DU, ER, SIE, WIR… turning grammar into weapon, subject into token. The game is no longer about winning or losing. It is about roles repeating themselves, subjects being positioned, and bodies becoming ideology. The project is a homage to Zweig’s idea of a vanishing world, but rendered through posthuman optics. “The Actor” is a 20-part visual reflection on identity as a function, not as an essence. “I play any role that is asked of me, even if I have to play a piece of wood.” With this credo, the series explores how individual subjectivity dissolves in a role-playing machine. Shaped by time, space, and collective heritage. Each image shows the same figure. Masked in white, silent, acting in environments full of violence, ideology, power, vulnerability, discipline, and submission. The series suggests that it is not the individual who shapes social space, but rather is shaped by it. The figure embodies the intergenerational remnants of all those who came before it. War criminals, oligarchs, martyrs, beggars, all driven again and again by a cosmos that sustains itself through repetition. Part of the MEMPLEX program on visual theory and social memory. Between the Worlds is a visual manifesto situated between digital body criticism, symbolic politics, and visual interference.

The work complex comprises 102 individual pieces, combining collage, image disruption, textual layering, and diagrammatic composition.

Each piece oscillates between humor, protest, and theory referencing pop culture, media history, and psychoanalysis.
