Editorial for Lampoon Magazine Issue 22

As the second oldest daughter in a family of 8 siblings, my relationship with family plays a big role in my life. In 2015, I began photographing my younger sisters and it gradually extended to the rest of my family. Initially, my parents were reluctant to pose for me but as this project evolved it became a ritualistic practice that we engage in every time I visit and we're all getting more and more comfortable with each other and with trying new things. Over time, this series began to have a primary focus on my mother and she’s becoming the central theme of this project. Through photography I try to find a different way of connecting and engaging with my family and it’s my way of trying to document who I am and where I'm from through staged and playful narratives.
