An emotional response from the time spent on the beach was my inspiration. Observing and sketching became a part of my artistic practice, so now I'm set with ideas for the whole series of paintings. I like it, especially when it goes through the prism of personal interpretations. In the early stages of my research, I concluded that I wanted to create more innovative works than just banal copying of reality so that they could contain surreal and abstract—a mixture of both. I have been drawn to something mysterious without clear boundaries and rules. This painting shows recognizable human figures, but it also shows how different we are. Although we all have hands, legs, heads, etc., we have an individual arrangement of intricately interwoven patterns "inside."

About a series "Intelligent Water":

I like the hypothesis that Water is a thinking substance of Earth that catches the signals from the Ether and transforms them into some psychic energy. We are not independent creatures and are intensely dependent on Water (among other things), and it's a fact that hard to deny. We live on the living planet of an intelligent ocean, where, as in the Strugatskys' "Solaris," Water is a form of life. We are nothing more than carriers of particles of its intellect. My inspiration for this project revolves and impels from around the beach area with a clear center point - interaction humans with Water. I started by observing and sketching people on the beach. Then I worked on actual paintings in the studio. I think of this series of paintings as bold surreal revelations that might equip us to consider radically new views of reality and reflect a unified picture of the world, where everything is infinitely interconnected.

The Sea And The Sunshine

This work is melancholy, perhaps incompleteness, as if I could not decipher reality. I call it Mystery. "The Brightest Star" is inspired by observing the stars while my Nature hikes. Slowly into the valley. I'm drifting by the inner voice of my mental base, which feeds a deep vein of one idea—dissolve upon the silence of the brightest star. I will be returning here and gaining myself impassively again and again.

About the series "Silence Returns": For those who tend toward symbolism, silence & mystical wandering, the popular series “Silence” is continued with a more relevant artistic twist. When I find myself at one with nature, I understand how much what surrounds me defies explanation. It isn't easy to define in words. I know most of these feelings are so elusive that I can only be in them without necessarily logical construction within the limits of the mind. So I enjoy and appreciate the warmth and love I am at that point connected to. I think the critical issue of having consciousness with receptors attached to it is the ability to perceive this living world as subtly as possible. During nature hikes, mechanisms turn on in me that in the normal state are practically inactive. So I am finally starting to use my receptors not only to survive in modern society but also I look for a haven for my soul. This series is a struggle, an eternity versus ignorance. It's the loss of oneself as a social person but the acquisition of as a person of the Earth. You are reborn, albeit in pain, but after this revelation, you will never be the same again when you return to your concrete sarcophagus.

The Brightest Star [SOLD]

It is evident that certain animals enjoy the company of humans and follow us everywhere. Beach crows are amazing creatures. I couldn't resist watching their behavior sketch some scenes of their interaction with humans. While I sketched two girls that sat with their backs to me, an impatient crow walked around them, approaching their bags every minute or so. I noticed that the hair of the girl sitting on the left falls in such a way that it resembles the silhouette of a crow with a big beak. So I followed that path and turned Crow into someone more human-like. I liked how the fantasy developed the composition this time and drifted me into this dreamy, ethereal, and pretty exquisite world. I hope you'll like it too!

The Crow And The Girl

Just for a moment, the light turns on in pitch darkness. Everything acquires the illusion of forms, spreading out as fleeting islands of impressions. Suddenly I see a glimpse of the shore and head toward it. What new lands will be discovered, and what notable findings will be made? Life is like a roam across a vast ocean into the unknown. I never know what awaits me on the way.

In The Misty Lands

It was a big-tanned man on the beach. His back was so hairy that it immediately caught my attention. But when I started sketching his torso, he turned his head in my direction, realizing me portraying him, and quickly walked away. Meanwhile, I was stuck without his legs and did not make the rest body in time. However, I decided to draw a special stand-like, a kind of substitute for legs. I loved how surreal it turned out! There is some sense of the imminent future on this reddish, not quite a Sun, but a sphere in the upper left. It is still out of reach but coming into form already. The bottom area of the painting also has its story.

Man On The Beach

"Psychedelic Forest" is an insightful trip to the world where nothing is defined yet. The place where universal forces are playing all along what makes time lose its ordinary meaning. We have to define everything from scratch relying on our minds. If we want to understand ourselves, we need to project it on the canvas of time, and at a particular moment, all hidden senses will reveal themselves in many different forms. They're all will be linked together like a forest that connects all living things.

Psychedelic Forest

All doors are in front of you. Open the ones that are yours and hit the road boldly. Avoid fuss, go forward without looking back, and step by step, you will turn from a student into a master and a master into a creator. Find your world and light it up. So that it will burn like a star at the zenith, this is what will be your heavenly home, intimate and dear. This is what will become your mirror that reflects your light.

Enigmatic Incarnation

I observed some scenes with people in the shallow water and tried to make a composition that would seem to me worthy. While sketching, I often catch myself on random thoughts, some of which I find pretty interesting. And I found if I give the serendipity some freedom to follow my thoughts, the result could be overwhelming. So such an approach makes it easy to interpret as I like, as I'm not sketching what I see but what it symbolizes instead. Anything that comes to mind would work, whether breathing mountains with eyes and mouths on a futuristic plateau or clusters of huge cosmic giant gods splashing within starry galaxies. All things are possible and given to your own interpretation as well.

Bathers

As a child, one of my favorite books was Jules Verne's classic, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. That book captured my imagination and opened my eyes to a new world, a mysterious, unexplored world, a world teeming with strange life forms that no one had ever seen before. That book awoke my sense of wonder at the world's oceans. Today, my obsession with the mystical world is becoming more and more evident as that has inspired me in my art practice through all these years.
