At first sight it seems to be total chaos. But looking longer you discover a vertical structure in the whole that gives you a grip. This is certainly visible from afar. The maker is clearly charmed by the primary colours. With here and there just a different tone of blue-green.“

This large oil on canvas with references to abstract expressionism and strong figurative elements is inspired by a famous limerick:

„There was a young lady of Niger
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger
They returned from the ride
With the lady inside
And the smile on the face of the tiger"
In a certain sense the limerick is highly actual: are we all riding on a tiger?
By ignoring the continuing climate-change catastrophes, could Mankind eventually also be devoured?

My pleading for renewable energies thinking about the climate change in progress caused by mankind and fossile emissions.

Extreme weather as result of the climate change is symbolized by a tornado just hitting the cooling tower of a coal power station whose emissions are killing the climate. The only way out are renewable energies.

The artist acted by over-painting an abstract work from 1992 which seemed to him to be „too harmonic, too idyllic“ from actual view of climate change.
