Hand bound and illustrated artist book. Collaboration with Edd Carr.
“He was like wildflower meadow left to grow on one of Earth’s many unseen corners - wholly beautiful at every inch, swaying with whichever way the wind decided to turn. But like a meadow of today he was tortured by the concrete expectations of modernity - trampled by the feet of uncaring others - left to wilt away his final moments in seclusion - feeling a hot panic of extinction that surely flower, bee, bug, tree and meadow’s many more feel. A swell of pure inky black nothing void burnt black coal wet ice bad torn cloth dusty drowning eyes closed dream nightmare plastic choking polluted toxic smoking black, with no hope of white-light salvation. No floating through golden rays, birds fluttering and tweeting about his frame as he cries in silence: I AM SAVED. Instead DEATH, in its one and only form - absolute.”
