I am a ballet dancer, so I live in a constant state of creating experiences with my body, music, and other beings. I find my desire to express these experiences and this connectivity reaches past the vocabulary of dance. I am fascinated by the creation of visual works of art that has a solid kind of permanence. The creative experience of dancing is relatively the same as painting. Where they differ is in the result. With dance, there is no tangible, physical residue. But with material arts, you have a creation in front of you that can then be experienced over and over again, by many people in many ways and develop a life of its own.
