Yingying Yang is a multidisciplinary artist working across the fields of photography, mixed-media and installation.
Yang’s interest in portraying people’s experiences led me to major in journalism in her undergraduate education. She then worked in a newsroom before going to George Washington University to pursue an MFA in Fine Arts. Her journalism work often concentrates on addressing and representing social issues, and this approach continues with my artistic practice. Through the process of exploration through reflection, repetition, and detachment from the experiences.
Yang had her first group exhibition, Good Enough, at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at GW in Washington D.C., 2019. She is now a candidate in the MFA degree program.
