MA Fine Art student at Norwich University of the Art, solely focusing on contemporary painting and its impact on experience and conversation.
During the past three years I have directed my practice to engage with various forms intended to challenge specific colour palettes, simplified metaphoric objects, and conversational texts; often having the text closely associated with the title to challenge conceptual understandings.
More recently, my practice functions as an abstracted storyboard, a window into site-specificity, highlighting specific palettes in relation to happenings. The main distinctive feature of my practice is the developed style of impasto layering and encouragement of mistakes. Allowing mistakes in my practice results in creating abstracted sections of colour that may create contrast and breaks in the overall composition.
