Lisa McCleary

Lisa McCleary is an Irish-Australian artist currently living in New York. In 2018 she completed her MFA Degree at Parsons, The New School, NYC. McCleary has exhibited internationally with her 2020 solo exhibition, titled Borderless, at GALLERY CUBED x Hunter East Harlem Gallery, NYC and previous solo exhibitions including Edging, at Gallery MC, NYC in 2019, Opened 1m Ago and #foreveralone at Palmer Art Projects, Sydney in 2016 and 2015. Her upcoming 2022 Spring solo exhibition will be held at Shelf Gallery, Mexico City. In 2021, McCleary exhibited her works At MANIFEST Gallery, OH, Revelation Gallery, NYC, and at Art Show International, LA. McCleary is currently in the semi-finalist round of the Outwin Boochever Competition at the Smithsonian Museum’s National Portrait Gallery, Washington DC. McCleary has held a position at the Trestle Artist Residency, Brooklyn, the Art & Law Program, NYC, the Summer Painting Residency at the School of Visual Arts, NYC, and the Vermont Studio Residency for which she received the VSC Merit Grant. In 2020, McCleary was included in The UK Sunday Times article ‘30 under 30: Ireland’s most promising artists.’
