Johannes Buss was born in Metelen, a small town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He studied fine arts in Enschede in the Netherlands, where he graduated with a bachelor degree in 1998. In 1997 he was at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver as an international exchange student.
Radical Adults Productions:
Since 2012 Buss produces works under this name. Crossing borders between art, design and scenography Buss creates work for different occasions. Showcases vary from exhibitions, theatre, music festivals and spatial design. Buss extracts existing media out of popular culture, politics and economics out of their original context and alters and recombines them in form of installations, sculptural objects, and drawings.
Besides Buss' own practice as a visual artist, he founded the artists platform LUXUS LOFT in 2011 together with fellow artist Ekaterina Mitichkina. They curate exhibitions in Berlin and abroad and focus on collaborations with related artists.
