I have always been interested in art, not only the European classical arts, but also ethnical arts. I have travelled through South-East Asia, and Oceania and really enjoyed the arts style there. I am totally sympathetic to ethnical arts – I will be using that terminology in this statement to broadly indicate the Africa, Americas and Oceania Art, only to ease my writing –but I have never had the chance to deepen my knowledge as I wanted. As a student in Italy, in fact I have never studied or approached other art-works other than the European. When I finally got acquainted with this type of art, I felt very inspired for my own paintings –as I love to paint.

 I find that ethnical arts contain a magic message for us all to be receiving and I believe that in Europe there is not enough knowledge to decode this artistic language.
 It is a cultural deprivation not to pursue such a great artistic heritage.
 As a solution, it would be really enriching adding in art-schools academic programmes containing the ethnical arts as a subject; this could be a way to familiarize not only with the arts, with the cultures but also directly to human personalities beyond them.

An ideal project would be travelling through Africa, Americas and Oceania, searching for new art works, and also pieces from the past, perhaps not discovered or documented yet. For this purpose I might be using a camera, and taking the pictures of these ethnical arts, to be published in a dedicated manual, so that these unique art works could be known in Europe –and introduced in art schools. The manual would be as a visual dictionary of this still unknown artistic language. Obviously this manual will be contain, besides the images, all the cultural, historical, philosophical background.

Meeting the contemporary artists -descendants of the ethnical arts lineages of the past- such as the dreamer-painters from the Aboriginal Australian tradition as an example, and creating a short
 documentary on their style and creations; it would be an immediate way of familiarizing
 with the given ethnical art. For this purpose, it would be easy to record the artists with a video camera while creating, following all the phases of the artistic process, and interviewing them.

Managing an itinerant museum-shed, where all the given ethnical arts works could be presented to an audience by guiding the visits and sharing the knowledge about the ethnical arts, is another idea for a project. 
When I vsited the Ethnical Museum in berlin I felt sad and I wished I could free all that ritual art pieces. I felt that these were trapped, like animals in any Zoo.
The idea of having an itinerant museum would give 'life back' to these pieces. What I mean is that there would be explanations about this art a ritual means, as they are functional in their magical contest. 

 As fantasy never ends, that is all for now.
