The artist’s round-trip travel to Arles covered
The Rencontres d’Arles covers the costs of: - shipping the works (round-trip) from Paris to Arles, and then Arles to Paris - the nail-to-nail insurance of the works (at their production value) - the exhibition’s design and construction - the mounting (and dismantling) of the works according to a hanging plan supplied by the artist - accreditation of the artist and a representative of the organization allowing access to the festival's events - four all-exhibition passes and two copies of the catalogue.
The Rencontres d’Arles associates the Louis Roederer Discovery Award with galleries, art centers, artist-run spaces, independent venues and institutions. Through their pioneering work, these structures are indeed often the first to support emerging artists. They can propose an exhibition project by an artist they support and whose work has been recently discovered or deserves to be by an international audience. Accompanied by a curator, 10 projects will be shortlisted and exhibited at the next Rencontres d’Arles. This year, the curator invited by the Louis Roederer Discovery Award 2022 is Taous R. Dahmani.
