A DUTCH-AMERICAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE
The NAF Cultural Grants support exhibitions, performances, and cultural projects that strengthen artistic and intellectual exchange between the Netherlands and the United States. We welcome applications from both emerging artists and established organizations working in the cultural sector.
These grants help bring meaningful cultural collaborations to life and connect audiences across both countries.
WHAT WE SUPPORT
The Netherland-America Foundation (NAF) funds professional artistic and cultural projects that demonstrate a clear exchange between Dutch and American artists, institutions, or audiences. Projects may include exhibitions, performances, or other cultural initiatives that promote dialogue and collaboration. Both emerging artists and established organizations are welcome to apply for funding.
Grant amounts typically do not exceed $5,000, depending on the scope and impact of the project. Higher amounts can be awarded depending on the availability of our budget.
The Cultural Grant Program does not support applicants who are not working professionals in the cultural sector, applicants who apply for funds to attend a seminar, or applicants who apply for tuition expenses for a degree program. Additionally, proposals requesting funds towards residencies or research are not accepted. If you apply for funding for a project that does not represent a Dutch-American connection, your application will not be forwarded to the selection committee.
