We welcome your proposals for aftermath projects that will help the world make some kind of sense of the world today, and to care more deeply.
A particular note this year: we have always recognized that there are aftermaths in the midst of ongoing conflicts (we have awarded grants for work in Ukraine and Afghanistan, for example, for aftermath stories during wars in those places).
We understand that there are many aftermaths going on right now, as wars rage. Please feel free to submit a proposal about any of those aftermaths. You will receive our serious consideration.
Because this is our traditional post-conflict grant, it is open to working photographers covering post-conflict stories anywhere in the world, who are interested in creating work that helps illumine aftermath issues, and encourages greater public understanding and discussion of these issues.
