Residency Overview

Duration: 10 days (or up to 80 hours) of studio access over 4 months.

Location

Little Church Studio, Yonkers, NY (askmbuya.com/studio).

‍

Disciplines

Open to visual artists, performers, musicians, filmmakers, installation artists, and other creative makers.

‍

Facilities

Large, flexible production space (3,000 sq ft) with natural light; basic equipment and furniture available for use.

Final Event

All residents will present work (in-progress or finished) in a public showing, performance, or screening at the studio.

What We Provide

• Flexible scheduling to use the studio, to be determined with studio managers.

• Promotional support for your final showing (high design materials, community outreach, hosted opening, social media).

• Basic production resources (lighting, seating, tables, etc.).

• Access to a creative, supportive environment.

What We Don’t Provide

• No stipend or materials budget.

• No housing or travel support.

• Specialized technical staff or equipment beyond what’s listed above.

Who Should Apply

• Artists who can work independently and benefit from uninterrupted studio time.

• Creators with a clear idea of how they’d use the space and time.

• People comfortable working in a shared building environment (occasional overlap with other activities).
