DRAWinternational – Drawing Research Centre A place of research, experimentation and the production of drawing in all its forms. Above all, it aims to be a place to develop and reveal the various processes of contemporary drawing and to share and exchange ideas between the artist and the public. DRAW – drawing, research, action and works
The centre welcomes international artists who, for several weeks take possession of the studios to reflect, experiment and create works and who, during this time, invite us to discover their way of thinking and making contemporary drawing. DRAWinternational set out some years ago to celebrate drawing ‘for itself’ and ‘for others’ i.e. as it relates to other representational media.
Our artists-in-residence programme attracts artists who wish to extend their professional practice and theoretical understanding, with the very issues reflected in contemporary society. That is, through human endeavour, reflection, discourse and action.
