giles worsley rome fellowship

THE GILES WORSLEY ROME FELLOWSHIP supports research in architectural history. It is open to architectural historians and architects at an early or transformative stage of their careers whose work in architectural or urban history would be enriched by the opportunity to spend three months at the British School at Rome, engaging directly with buildings and spaces in and around the city that relate to their research.

The research undertaken at the BSR may form part of a larger project but should be presented at the end of the fellowship as a self-contained piece of work. The Giles Worsley Fellow will have access to the extensive resources of the BSR Library and Archive and will be part of a vibrant community of artists and scholars, contributing to and benefitting from the intellectual and social exchange that is central to life at the BSR.
