scottish emerging sculptor award

The award invites emerging Scottish artists to develop ambitious proposals for a new public sculpture inspired by their own interpretation of Edinburgh Park. Five shortlisted artists will be selected to take part in a mentoring programme led by Matthew Jarratt, Arts Curator for Edinburgh Park, supporting them in developing their ideas into exhibition-ready proposals.

The shortlisted proposals will be exhibited in the reception of 1 New Park Square throughout the summer and autumn of 2027, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the designs before casting their vote for their favourite. Public voting will play an important role in selecting the overall winner.
