Casablanca Residency is an independent international programme for artists, curators, writers and researchers seeking a focused period of work, research and exchange in Morocco.
Applications are currently open for residencies in November and December 2026. Each residency is shaped around the participant’s individual practice rather than a predetermined theme. Residents receive accommodation, access to workspace, ongoing curatorial dialogue, practical support and introductions to relevant artists, cultural practitioners and places in Casablanca.
Projects may develop through studio practice, research, writing, photography, film or interdisciplinary experimentation. Depending on the resident’s work and objectives, the programme may conclude with an open studio, exhibition, conversation or another form of public presentation.
The residency is self-funded and developed through Yasmine Laraqui Studio, an independent space for visual production, exhibitions and international artistic exchange.
