The British School at Rome invites applications for the three-month Rome Awards, designed for early career researchers. These awards support research on any aspect of the social, religious, political, and economic cultures of the Italian peninsula and their wider textual, visual, and material dissemination and reception, from early prehistory to the modern period.
Award-holders pursue their own research while becoming part of the BSR’s vibrant, interdisciplinary academic community. They are encouraged to engage with the work of other award-holders and to take part in the BSR’s programme of visits, workshops, seminars, and public events.
