support for digital experiences

Support for digital experiences (XN) is intended for works that take into account the actions of spectators, whether to change the point of view (for example, immersive 360° films), influence narratives (interactive films), or any other form of interaction. Supported media range from traditional screens to new extended reality (XR) devices (VR, AR, or MR), or multiple devices in the case of transmedia projects.

Evaluation criteria:

• Artistic proposal and originality
• Innovative use of digital creation tools
• Potential to develop digital creation skills in French-speaking Switzerland
• Financial feasibility
• Production schedule (preference for projects completed within 2 years of decision)

Additional notes:

• Grants are in partnership with the SSR and may lead to a separate Pacte contract after jury approval.
• The full requested amount must be allocated to Cinéforom in the financing plan. If SSR contributes, the plan will be adjusted later.
• Upon request, submitted projects may also be forwarded to GIFF (Geneva International Film Festival) for possible inclusion in XR Co-production Meetings and the Swiss Interactive Sessions (Geneva Digital Market)
