The mobility grant supports the international presentation of existing artworks and networking of contemporary art professionals. The aim is to promote the internationalisation of Finnish and Finland-based artists, art professionals, and art organisations. The grant must be targeted at promoting the international activities of Finnish and Finland-based artists and/or contemporary art professionals. The trip or presentation of the artworks must take place outside Finland.
Frame’s field of activity is visual art, with an emphasis on contemporary art. It also includes interdisciplinary art forms such as sound, performance, and installation art when presented in the context of contemporary art. Frame’s grants also support comic art and arts and crafts.
Grants are awarded through open calls in three categories: mobility grants, which can be applied for three times a year; production grants, which can be applied for twice a year; and publication grants, which can be applied for once a year.
