arts fund grants

The Arts Fund Grants support emerging or early career artists pursuing or planning to pursue artistic development in both the Australia to U.S. and U.S. to Australia directions. Grants provide support to creatives in the fields of theatre, film, television, dance, music, visual arts, design, literature, and photography.

Grant funds may be utilised for travel, living, tuition, and other related costs associated with the artistic development. Two rounds are open each year for application, during which both American and Australian Artists may apply.

Artistic Development - What will be funded

• Merit based graduate academic programs;

• A selection-based internship with supporting documentation from the producing organization;

• A selection-based artist residency;

• A merit-based masterclass or workshop;

• Mentorship by an industry recognized professional of high standing;

• Master Practitioners providing Master classes and/or workshops to academic institutions, artistic organizations and/or groups of artists may also apply;

• Contributions towards the transfer of content created by Australian artists will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The proposal should include the potential benefit to members of the American Australian Association, with consideration for shared value propositions, such as complimentary tickets, and where available, invitations for members to attend previews and/or open rehearsals.
