artist residency in charlottenburg berlin

Burnt Sienna Institute of Painting is offering a three-month studio residency for a painter or visual artist at its Charlottenburg space.

This is an opportunity to establish a sustained working rhythm: to develop a body of work, experiment, and follow ideas over several months within an active community of practising artists. The resident will have a dedicated place to work and can take part in the conversations, critiques and events that are part of life at Burnt Sienna.

We are interested in artists who will use the time seriously and contribute to the studio’s sense of exchange. There is no requirement to produce a finished exhibition. We welcome artists at different stages of their practice, including those returning to painting after time away.

The residency runs from 1 November 2026 in our ground-floor Charlottenburg studio. Please get in touch with a short introduction to your work and what you hope to develop during the residency. Studio visits can be arranged by appointment.
