Overview

For this 6th edition of the Video Prize, Arts Convergences is partnering with  Thanks for Nothing.

This Prize is offered in the form of a call for projects, open to everyone, for videos of 4'max , of all genres (documentary, fiction, animation), on the theme of mental illness, with the preamble being: I don't fit into a box!

Several prizes, including €5,000 in cash, will be awarded at the end of this competition to the videos chosen by the Jury and the Public. The winning videos will be screened at a ceremony open to the public, which will take place on Thursday, November 26th at the Forum des Images in Paris.

The objectives of this new edition are to engage in a dialogue with the viewer in order to deconstruct preconceived ideas and to allow for a better understanding of people living with mental illnesses.

With the tagline, "I don't fit into a box!", this edition invites you to explore the diversity of experiences and life paths of the people involved. We expect submissions to reveal the creative richness of those who don't conform to established norms, showcasing the strength that also lies in our differences. Furthermore, the very short format ensures an effective presence on the web and social media, where these videos are widely shared. It raises awareness among all audiences about mental health issues and creates a space for inclusive discussion.
