2023 eutopia residency
Visual artists, architects, writers, art historians, curators, musicians and other creative professionals, from all over the world, regardless of race, gender, age and orientation, young as well as established, with open ideas and opinions, can stay and work temporarily participating in programs, from 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months. Between 3 to 6 artists can participate in the programs. The residences offer conditions that favor creativity and provide their guests with a welcoming environment.
The Space is a two-story renovated Residence of 160 sq.m. on a plot of 250 sq.m. Offer a private living space, in a 35 sq.m. studio, with a double king size bed, desk, free wi-fi, comfortable sofa bed, with an equipped kitchen, private bathroom, balcony with outdoor furniture, in a modern design. Provide weekly cleaning with change of bed linen and towels. Shared sunny and bright workspace 40 sq.m. with a large work table. In the common area they can work either alone or together. This facilitates cooperation and communication between the guests for the interaction of thoughts, ideas, reflections on various issues of art and humanity. At the same time, in the same space, at the end of the program, you will organize a Group Exhibition, event, celebration, with music, guests the public of the city, fellow artists, curators, collectors. Projects created during the hosting period or projects they have brought with them will be exhibited.The works that will be for sale, the proceeds from the sales are shared 50/50 between the artist and the gallery.
A representative work of each artist will be donated to the Eutopia collection. The artist and their work you will present and display in the digital archive of Eutopia as a contributor. The Artists are invited to explore with our help and guidance, the local society, their culture, their gastronomy, the local artists, painters, sculptors, ceramists, photographers, musicians in their workshops to be inspired and interact.
They are welcome to bring a companion, partner, spouse, child and can stay together in the same studio with some additional corresponding cost. The selection of hosting groups is made by Eutopia’s consultant partners, based on the CV, work and interests of each interested party.
