A subset of Telluride Arts’ Artist Grants [TAAGs] program, Professional Development Grants are broken into two categories, visual and performing arts* and open to artists and nonprofit organizations within the Telluride region. Grants are set at $2,500 and awarded annually to an applicant within each category, who effectively demonstrates their commitment towards professional development, the advancement of their craft, and the enrichment of the Telluride community through their artistic pursuits. As with all TAAGs, community benefit is at the heart of the program and must be clearly outlined in the application.
TAAG applicants are limited to one submission per grant cycle. Multiple applications by the same artist will not be considered. If an artist submits an application for a Professional Development grant, they will be ineligible to apply for additional TAAGs within the same calendar year, excepting Flash Grants.
All TAAGs are subject to blind reviews by designated committees or juror panels. All personal details and obvious indicators of applicant identity are removed prior to review.
