The mission of the Creative Residency program at Bloedel Reserve is to foster creative thinking that is inspired by nature and that celebrates human connection to nature. What exactly do Creative Residents do while they are staying at Bloedel Reserve? For some, it is an intensely private time of rest and reflection, a chance to recharge their creative juices. And for others, it’s a chance to experiment, play, begin new projects or continue developing works already in progress. The program opportunity is described in more detail below.
Residents stay one at a time, there is no overlap. At present, there is no dedicated studio space on the grounds. Residents utilize the building as their studio. There is an electric piano available for use.
Bloedel Reserve is located on Bainbridge Island between Seattle, WA and the Kitsap Peninsula. The island is accessible via Ferry from Seattle or by car via the Kitsap Peninsula
