Textile Art Factory is a two-cycle artist residency program that combines contemporary art and textile practices, connecting the research of new creative generations with the manufacturing and cultural heritage of the Prato district.
The call is aimed at selecting four resident artists who will take part in a training, research, and production program aimed at developing professional skills in contemporary artistic practices, with particular attention to textile languages and techniques. The goal is to offer young artists an immersive experience that fosters professional growth, technical experimentation, and the creation of works in dialogue with the local area and the Prato textile district.
The residency will take place in Prato from October 5, 2026, to April 5, 2027, for a total duration of 6 months, including approximately 220 hours of theoretical and practical training, integrated with research, artistic production, and public presentation activities.
The activities will take place at:
• Lottozero – Centre for art, design and textile culture (Via Arno 10, Prato)
• Textile Museum (Via Puccetti 35, Prato)
