Artist in residence in the glassblowing city of Lauscha
4 centuries of Lauscha glass have left their mark. Workshops and studios for glass eyes, Christmas tree decorations and craft and artistic glass design characterize the place, the museum for glass art, the colored glass works and the vocational school glass are located in Lauscha.
Glass artists and artisans based in Lauscha and the surrounding area practice a variety of shapes and techniques in glass design, cold working and hot forming.
Not far away you will also find the European Museum for Glass Rödenthal, the Geißlerhaus in Neuhaus am Rennweg, the Glass Apparatus Museum in Cursdorf, the Flacon Museum in Tettau and the Ilmenau Vocational School for Glass Apparatus.
