residencies for foreign authors

Passa Porta, the International Literature House, is a multilingual meeting place in the heart of Brussels for anyone interested in ideas, texts, and stories. Here, readers meet their favorite authors from Belgium and abroad and discover new talent.

Passa Porta supports literary creation and welcomes up to nine foreign writers as guests each year. The organization hopes to create an ideal working environment for their projects, whether during the research or writing phases.

During the residency, the writers can live in a spacious apartment for a month and receive a stipend. They can also participate in Belgian cultural life and the Literature House's network.
